For any business, their team is critically important to their success. Yesterday we closed the office and took the entire team at Morgan Cameron went to Longleat for the day. We had a great time and nobody was eaten by the lions or had their toes nibbled by the meerkats (who apparently have a liking for bare toes with painted nails…!)
We started off with a morning training session in Lord Bath’s banqueting suite (very grand) run by Mark Lloydbottom who is a top class accountancy practice speaker.
After lunch we got a chance to see the amazing falconry display and either tour the safari park or visit the house itself before rounding up with an inspirational talk on change by Longleat’s own CEO, David Bradley.
Why did we do it?
1. To say a big thank you to all our team who have worked so hard in the last year
2. To encourage and inspire all of us to think creatively about ways in which we could improve the service we deliver next year
You could call it our investment in the future
If you run a business, what do you do to invest in your staff? I’d be interested to know.
